- We are in the midst of the centre of the Dachstein Tauern skiing area, but you are still out in the relaxing countryside.
- Over 200 km of cross country and skating tracks as well as winter hiking paths are available, and cosy lodges along invite for a stopover.
- The cross country track and winter hiking path can be entered just outside our farm. Our house-hill is ideal for bobsleighing and sledging.
- Ramsau is a plateau and perfectly suitable for family skiing holidays.
- Take a relaxing horse sleigh ride or go to the public swimming pool with a great sauna area. You are welcome to check out our barn, where our animals stay during the winter.
Alpine Sking
- You have four main ski areas to choose from Planai, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kabling, Reiteralm. Over 115 km of slopes and 52 lift facilities.
- In Ramsau there are basic slopes to learn and improve your Ski skills. Plenty of ski schools to choose from.
- Ski season starts from December until the late April. While summer skiing is also available on the Dachstein glacier.
- A regular free bus service resides outside of the house for those with a Ski pass.
- Planai hosts every year the famous night slalom.

- Ski, poles and boots can be rented locally for the duration of your stay in Ramsau.

Horse Sleigh
In winter a horse sleigh ride is the best way to see the beauty of
Ramsau. A horse sleigh ride can be arranged locally. They can pick you
up straight outside the house.
If you are planning an evening out why not arrange for a horse sleigh to drop you off and collect you late.

Tobogganing in Summer & Winter
The Hochwurzen slope has a permanant toboggan run of 7 km. It is floodlit, so
it's ideal for night sleding. Toboggans can be hired at valley station. Open
daily during cable-car operating hours. Evenings from Monday to Saturday, 7.30
to 10 p.m. Cable-car is in operation and toboggan run is floodlit until approx.
01.00 a.m.
On a real wood toboggan you shoot down from the 1900m high
Hochwurzen peak towards the valley. 7km of fun for the family is guaranteed.
